Tune Tuesday

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! SEE YOU AFTER NEW YEARS!!

December 17, 2010

um, ahhh, ooh, eeeeh

Do you ever happen to have a gift problem? My family will ask me "What do you want for Christmas?". This year I responded, "I would like to buy a new outfit." I've lost weight from being sick and I would just like to have an outfit that doesn't hang off me. Apparently that wasn't what they wanted to hear. Some people don't like to hear you want a gift card, they want to buy you an actual present. So I was left at a loss because I couldn't really think of anything I could tell them to get me. There are things I want but they're more of things I need to find on my own....? I guess because I see things I like but they are too expensive so I look until I can find a similar one cheap. I don't want to say "HAY find something that looks like this!"

I'm going to try and be better about it next year and actually keep a list of things I want or see I like that people can actually buy.

Tune Tuesday

This tune Tuesday is the ambient group 65daysofstatic. They started back in 2001 in Sheffield, United Kingdom. Their music is a wonderful toss up of rock and electronic add-ins. My favorite song from them is "Retreat! Retreat!". Any ambient song that sounds like it's telling you a story is top notch in my book, and that's exactly what they do. You can listen to the song below, ENJOY!

initiative?

I DECIDED, that starting New Years i'm going to email one person a month, that are on my facebook. I started thinking about things earlier and I got a bit flustered over the whole thing. When I first started a facebook page I only added people I was truly friends with but as time went on I started adding people that I happened to know through school or friend of friends type situation. I guess the thing that got to me was most of these people live in the same town as me. They see me at the food store or at the gas station but not once has any of them ever said hi to me and on the off chance they are "forced" into conversation they barely talk to me. What is up with that, you weird people who like to keep up with what's going on in my life but you can't stand to share a few words with me, WTF?

Then I wondered, am I thinking to much about this? Does it even matter? But I guess in a way it does matter to me other wise I wouldn't have got so aggravated about it. YOU, YES YOU, my blogger friends converse with me more than the people in my town, except my close friend J. I don't mind that I talk to you lovelies more its just why should I be "friends" with someone if all they want to do is keep tabs on me, its a bit creepy if you think about it. Like a "big brother" type deal, meh. I don't like it.

I try to be the person that tried in a relationship even if it is just a friendship, even if it means me looking like a fool I want to be able to say I tried. But after you try and try or put forth effort and they don't even acknowledge you...what's the point?

so i'm going to write a email to one person a month on my facebook, it will be random. But I decided if they don't respond I'M DE-FRIENDING THEIR ASSES! HA!

Got a little bit carried away there hahahaha

The Meaning of What?

I recently read one of my favorite blogs! And it got me thinking what do you think about when you hear "Christmas", what goes with it? Some people acknowledge it as the birth of the Christian savior Jesus Christ. And if I remember, it has certainly been a while, right on that night three wise men brought gifts to the baby Jesus. Then again Christmas wasn't an official holiday in america until the early 1800s, and the europians celebrated it long before but not for Jesus. Instead they celebrated the end of "darkness" and the beginning of a new year. AND before them the romans celebrated Saturnalia, their god of agriculture.

For me personally, yes I think its the gifts. And not in that horrible commercialized way but more of the "I really care about you and I want to give you something to represent that". My icon for this day is Saint Nicholas, not the fat red guy. That man in the picture. He was a wealthy man but instead of hoarding it like so many do he gave it away to the less fortunate. And after he died many people honored his memory by giving gifts to others. That to me is something worth celebrating. When people help other people.

I'm not blogging today to say your view of Christmas is wrong if its different than mine. I am just curious about what others think of this holiday!

Stocking Stuffer Ideas?

I'm about to make some mini stockings to hang and I need something to fill them with! To me a stocking stuffer is at least under $10. I know I want to buy those big candy bars but I'm not sure what else. Do you lovelies have any ideas?

Tune Tuesday

I bet you thought I forgot about Tune Tuesday! Well haha, you'd be right. I was on a mission, the mission de-clutter. You'll be happy to hear I succeeded and it's quite clean. Back to the music, this week is 東京事変. It's smooth, chill, laid back, and sexy. My favorite song from them is 能動的三分間. And you can watch it below...

December 6, 2010

Lullaby

I have a hate/hate relationship with sleep. It takes me forever to actually get to sleep and if I don't I usually have a horrible headache the next day. Here are other things I do...

1. I rock one of my feet back and forth
2. you will usually find me in the leap-frog position
3. I talk, sing, and walk in my sleep

On one occasion I almost had the crap beat out of me because of my sleeping episodes. I was sleeping over at a friends house, a week after she had found out her neighbor had murdered his wife and mother-in-law *mind you he was/is in jail, but the whole thing really frightened her*. The window to her room was broken at the time. I don't know why I did this but in my sleep I walked over to the said broken window and just stood there, yes like that scene in Paranormal activity. Bad timing on her part, she woke up and saw a figure by the window. She grabbed her trusty metal bat and made a bee line for my head. Thank the graces that she realized it was me before she inflicted brain damage on me.

Are you happy?

I recently finished the new book "Hector's Search for Happiness" by the French psychiatrist Francois Lelord. The book follows a psychiatrist's, Hector, journey to find what makes people happy. By the end of the book he is closer to understanding the meaning of "happiness". I had a few aggravations with this book. On the back a reviewer compared this book to Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist". I want to slap that person in the face. "The Alchemist" is what I would consider a literary artwork. Comparing the two, makes me think they didn't read one of the books. But I digress the other aggravation I had was that the book read like a children's book. It feels like when the author wrote it he wrote it as if a child were to read it. At this point you might think I didn't like this book, quite the opposite. I really enjoyed this book, I would recommend it to people who like to better themselves. After the first chapter I completely forgot about the way it read and more about the story itself. All in all it has a good message that is often forgotten in today's society.

I give it a 3.5 out of 5

Thank You

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm currently watching the Macy's day parade. After that i'm going to stuff my face with really good food and be thankful that I get to eat it. I don't think thanksgiving is just about the food. I truly think it should be a day were you thank the people who were nice to you and helped you out when you needed it. How ever you chose to celebrate this day, or if you celebrate it at all, I wish you have a great day!

Tune Tuesday

The Australian band "Howling Bells" caught my attention with their whimsical rock sound. They worked very hard to achieve what they have now, it's an interesting story. I couldn't find an official site for them other than their myspace which you can click the link above to go to. My favorite song from them is "treasure hunt" and you can listen to it below, enjoy!

November 21, 2010

Number 7: Check

Number seven on the list was to "Do something out of character". I had the hardest time figuring out what that thing would be but it wasn't until after I did it that I realized. The other night I trolled. If you made a puzzled face at that, i'll explain. Trolling is when someone says or types something specifically to get a rise of emotion out of you, usually anger. I was on a chat site and this Chinese guy asked where I was from, I said Japan. If you know the hatred these two countries harbor for one another you can only imagine the interesting conversation I had. It is so unlike me to do something like that and i'm glad I got it out of my system. I know it sounds weird but doing something you normally wouldn't isn't always a bad thing.

Have you ever done something, only to later think "oh gosh was that me, did I do that"?

That light is coming from you...

I want you to comment about two things; one thing you love about your self that is physical and one thing that isn't. I guess this post came about after reading this article "Do you stand out" and I don't really think I do. People often forget me. I could be absent from school and teachers would still mark me present, though that one could be a blessing. I guess the conclusion I ended up at is maybe i'm not supposed to shine bright but instead never stray or flicker. I'll be that light you go to when you need help or a hug or just need a companion who will sit with you on a bench, watching the boats float down the river. My light glows a light mossy green, at least that's what I see in my head.

My physical trait I love about my self is: my hands
My non-physical trait I love is: The way I love someone

Bland Recipe 1#

I love pizza but I can't eat the traditional style anymore with the garlic and tomato sauce. This is basically cheese bread, but really good cheese bread.

All you will need is...
*Pillsbury pizza crust
*block of mozzarella (I used kraft)
*a rectangle baking pan
*follow the direction for the crust about placing it in for 5 minutes before putting the cheese on it
*put the grated cheese over the crust and cook until all the cheese has melted, then switch the oven from bake to broil for about 5 minutes, then switch back to bake and wait for the cheese to turn brown.

Some of you might know that I have (GERD) and can't eat things like tomatoes, ketchup, onions, vinegar, garlic, oranges, lemons etc etc. Those who voted in the "make MCB better" poll wanted more recipes which i will honor but please note that the dishes I will cook are, for the majority of you, bland. I will do another post after thanksgiving which will include a chicken casserole, cheddar biscuits, and how to make canned veggies taste better!

November 16, 2010

Tune Tuesday

My pick this week is Carissa's Wierd. No it's spelled right i promise the band purposely misspelled weird. They started in Seattle back in 1995 and disbanded in 2003. They are known for their melancholy tunes and soft vocals. The lyrics are very sobering and to the point. My favorite from them is "sophisticated fuck princess please leave me alone"

November 15, 2010

Oh Really?

I was asked the other day what my pet peeves are. And I thought about it for a while after they asked because I tend to forget until the actual crime comes to the surface and aggravates me. So I took the liberty to try and write down those I could remember. What are your pet peeves?

*people who text and drive & people whose noses are so far in their phones they can smell the battery acid.

*people who don't cover their nose/mouth when sneezing in public. I DONT WANT YOUR GERMS!

*people who chew gum with their mouth open.

*close minded people - ignorance

*people who ride your tail end, because buddy I will slow down

*parents who think teaching their kids involves beating them upside the head in public.

*people who stare too long, I was in walmart looking at cards and this older man stopped for an awkward amount of time and starred at me, smiling. It made me uncomfortable because he looked at me like he knew something.

*people who stand to close in the check out line

*when people brag about how high or drunk they got the night before.

*when people let their dogs roam free, I got attacked by a dog and it has scarred me

*religion nuts or people who feel the need to tell me i'm going to hell

*waiters/waitresses that flirt with your "partner" right in front of you.

*when company commercials take jabs at other companies or make their client base look like idiots *virgin mobile*

*when people give you that "i'm better than you" look

*the bar-code bracelet you have to wear at the hospital, makes me feel less human.

*when someone treats others as objects

*the way my government works & the news

"No matter, try again, fail again, fail better"

That is a quote from Samuel Beckett, and one I find resonates true. Perfection is merely a myth and as long as you try in life that's all that matters. I've been thinking a lot lately, not much else I can do, and I made a mental list of things I want to try and accomplish before January 1, 2011.

1. Get rid of clutter & junk
2. write down on pieces of paper things I want to leave behind in 2010 and throw away/burn them (probably will wait until new years eve for this one)
3. find and start taking a vitamin
4. buy a new complete outfit
5. update info and delete any forgotten websites I joined

Question: Is there anything that you do before New Year's Day?

Tune Tuesday

Time for Tune Tuesday again and this weeks band is Atakama, the female fronted Russian metal band. They formed back in 2004 and went through a series of member changes. Their first single released in 2007 and their most recent album in 2009. Eka, the lead singer, has a beautiful and strong singing voice. Plus I'll be honest the Russians have this strong language I feel is perfect for rock and metal. Another thing that I find amazing is they have made all their songs and videos available for free download on their site. You can watch the video below, it slightly reminds me of Pan's Labyrinth. Enjoy!

*Update*

I completely forgot that some of my followers can't view certain music through playlist and sometimes youtube, i think it's silly but I don't make the rules. So for those who couldn't play the playlist I posted yesterday I uploaded one, its on the right. Easy listening!

Playlist: Glassy Eyes

I've been in a musical mood since last night; smooth jazzy, electric ticks & mechanical pops, flowing words and melodies. Thoughts of being on a train during a storm with love in the air. I'm pleased with this playlist, it is very laid back and relaxed. click HERE to go to the playlist. I would have posted it on here but it's bigger than my text box would allow.

choices, choices

One day I want to dye my hair, yep I am a hair virgin... practically a hair nun since I don't put product in there either. But I want to pop my hair cherry one day but I have some things to think about. I have almost black hair, the fear of frying my hair is on my mind. The two photos above show the color choices I have chosen. The redish-auburn being more realistic (socially acceptable/job-friendly) while the dark purple being more adventurous and closer to my natural color.

Opinions? Advice? Comments? Suggestions?

Guest Post

Remember that October the 20th is a day of remembrance for all of the gays who committed suicide, and to wear purple if you're choosing to take part. Stephanie currently doesn't have computer access and is feeling a bit under the weather, so i'm posting this in her stead. -Scott

Tune Tuesday

It's time for Tune Tuesday again and the featured band this time is "Future Islands". They formed back in 2006 when they met in college. They are North Carolina based but are currently touring with other bands! I love the toss up of light/high sounds mixed with his deep gruff voice. You can listen to their song "Tin Man" below, ENJOY!

You may like...

I found "TasteKid" while trying to find a movie recommender. There is a book recommender I use now and again when I get in the mood for a certain genre. I was hoping they would have a movie version but I couldn't find it, and so that's how I found TasteKid. It will recommend movies, books, music, shows and authors. I'll be honest only about half of the recommendations are okay the rest are way out there. I typed in The Giver and it popped out Holes. Great books in their own ways but not what I would call similar.

Treats and Sweets

Halloween is so close I can smell it! I have my PUMPKIN ready to be carved next weekish and my COSTUME is set. I need to pick up some candy for the littles though. But i've picked out a MOVIE I want to watch later that night with the boyfriend. So my questions for you are the following....

what are you going to be or what's the best costume you saw someone wear?
your must see scary movie?
Your favorite sweet treat?

Tune Tuesday

The Crash Kings formed in California around 2006 and are still playing, currently touring in North America. They have an alternative rock sound with unique lyrics. My favorite song so far is "Mountain Man" which you can listen to below! Enjoy!

Number 9 (check)

I've been thinking about this one for a long time. Love is a complex emotion, one that even the smartest of us out there has a hard time explaining. I realize that I'm not always going to be happy with my body, but for the most part we are thick as thieves. We've grown and shrunk together and will continue to. I have beauty marks, scars, stretch marks, spider veins, and rough feet. But I also have long eye lashes, small hands, a who-nose as my friends call it, and i'm relatively comfy to lay on as I've been told. I also realized that my relationship with my body is a give and take arrangement. If I show it love and care, it will give it back to me. But if I don't take care of my body then things will get nasty! I love you body, you've been with me forever and will until the end, let's make it special!

October 9, 2010

We don't have to be friends....just shut up.

I'm sure most of you have seen or heard of the newest popularity project "Stop Bullying". I hope none of you think I don't take the situation that prompted this seriously, I do and it angers me greatly about what happened. But I keep reading the comments and they are completely hypocritical.

"They needed god's teaching" "Southerners and Midwesterners are the worst" "It's the parents fault"

To say that they did it because they weren't religious is the same as them mocking the girl for her accent. They're making a big deal out of someones social, religious, or physical differences. You don't have to be friends with someone you don't like but keep what ever crap you think to your self. Don't rub it in their face, hurt, or humiliate them.

I really wish we could live in a world were people could accept others. It's like in debating you don't have the same views as me but I accept that. I'm not going to hit you with a cafeteria tray just because you don't pronounce coffee the same way I do.

WHOOP DEE F***ING DO!

Fall Inspired Picks

P.s. I am very much a penny pincher, there is an item in one of these collections *cough scarf* that costs eighty something dollars. I would never pay that, I would make it myself first.

Number 12 (check)

The other day I had the up most pleasure to go picnicking with my boyfriend. We sat on a bench by the river while watching boats float by. It was fairly sweet, dare I say almost romantic....until the creepy guy came. Let's just say he was a people watcher, but we were the only people there so he just watch us. yeah.... *cough* The cake was good though butter cream....yum!

Movie Review: No one knows about Persian cats

Bahman Ghobadi directed a shocking if not inspirational film. The movie follows Ashkan and Negar as they secretly try to obtain passports and assemble the rest of their band before they flee to London. Secular, non-religious, music is banned in Iran. There is the constant unseen danger from being caught. These people who love and embrace music have to hide for fear of imprisonment. Through the film you will see real bands from metal, jazz, indie, to Rap play and amaze you! I hope that if you see this film you will watch with the knowledge that this is a very real situation. The movie is a work of slight fiction, but the story it tells is very real...

Just ask!

Hay dears, a little while ago you voted for what you would want to see more of on MCB, vlogging or v-posts was the winner. The last time I did a v-post I said you could ask me any question and I would answer it. I'm doing that again! Ask a question and I will answer it; whether it's a heated debate topic, simple preference, or opinion question I'll answer it. I will vlog about other things in the future, this is just helping me get used to it.

You post your question below in the comment section or you can go to MCB's formspring page and ask anonymously.

Tune Tuesday

Mates of State is an indie band starring the married couple Kori and Jason. There is a good bit of electro add-ins but they use so many different instruments from the piano to the glockenspiel. They started back around 1997 in Kansas and are still playing today. My favorite song so far is "HA HA" and you can watch it below, ENJOY!

P.s. I now have a twitter page for Magical Chip Bag, basically i'll post the things you usually don't get to see, the songs that didn't get to be Tune Tuesday but I liked and random videos!

October 3, 2010

This isn't how you played with dolls

Marwencol is an indie documentary about Mark Hogancamp, a man who was beaten outside a bar one night and suffered brain damage. He invented his own world of war, love, and action. Using dolls and a camera he captures scenes that tell a story, one that might bring him out of the safety he so clings to...

October 2, 2010

And the verdict is.....

Number 20 (check)

20. figure out what I want to do with my life. I won't go into huge detail because that might bore you dears to death and I wouldn't want that! I've been thinking you don't have to do just one thing in your life, and with that I decided in the early part of my life i'll pursue photography and then later in life I'll open a book store! I had a dream one night that I ran a book store and I woke up so giddy it would have put school girls to shame.

Tune Tuesday

Innerpartysystem is a electronica style band from America. One of the members left the band recently but I believe the others are still working on new songs. My favorite from them is "Don't Stop". I would like you dears to listen to the lyrics because unlike most electro songs these have some pretty interesting lyrics to it. The video is below hope you enjoy!

The Glorious Ones: Book Review

Flaminio Scala brought out a foxy laughter in me after the first page. What a snarky man he is, this will be hilarious. But I was wrong, not soon after two pages in did those thoughts get dashed from my mind. This was to be a tragedy of many kinds. Each chapter threw me into the view of a different character dealing with what troubled them but all revolving around the life span of the troupe “The Glorious Ones”, the very troupe that Flaminio Scala created himself over a life time.

“The Glorious Ones” was written by Francine Prose and it certainly is a unique read. I find it slightly appropriate that I found this book in the two dollar bin, casted out from the warmth of the main book store, because in ways that was what this book was about, people that didn’t fit in with society or, in ways, with themselves.

Good Points
I found the characters to be solid and raw

Different points of views

Bad Points
Disappointed at first when I realized this was to be a tragedy (since is started off as a dark comedy)

The Ending was equivalent to wanting something and not having the money, only to go back later with the money and finding it gone, you were too late. Not to say I was disappointed by the ending only that I was left with this longing feeling like it wasn’t truly over.

The Name of the Wind: Book Review

I was a bit hesitant to read this after someone recommended it to me, but I am glad they did. Rothfuss is an excellent fantasy writer, one I would dare say to rival Tolkien. Kvothe, the protagonist, is spell binding to say the least. Though he might not have obtained his “hero” title in a traditional way he certainly earned it. It was refreshing to read a story with characters that fight with intelligence more so over brute strength and having a male hero not think he is god’s gift to women wasn’t bad either.

High Points:
Unique characters
Interesting story
Well worded

Low Points:
There were a few winded parts, some might find it interested to read a full page about how to ride a horse properly….I may have skimmed that page…cough cough.

I thought the cut off, ending, was very abrupt. But at the same time it just made me want the next book to be out all the quicker.

The Name of the Wind is the first installment in the King Killer Chronicles the next is The Wise Man’s Fear. It is set to come out in March 2011.

New at the box office?

Tron: Legacy is based loosely on the game. The story follows Sam Flynn a man who has been searching for his father since he was a child, only to find that his father has been trapped in a game for 25 years. Sam enters the game only to learn things are not what they seem. Can he win? For the majority it is coming out this year, Dec 17. If you want to double check go HERE for release date list. Click HERE if you want to see the trailer!

Sucker Punch is probably the one I am looking forward to most. Though it's not scheduled to release until late March 2011. You can still watch the preview trailer HERE. The story follows a girl who has been institutionalized by her Step-father and to cope with it she dreams of an alternate reality that has everything; dragons, huge metal Samaria, gundums, machine guns, blimps, dancing, etcetera. You tend to forget the movie is based in the 1950s...

ALSO TODAY IS ELEPHANT APPRECIATION DAY!

This Scottish songbird is Amy Macdonald. She was signed back in 2007 but started singing when shes was very young. She has a unique indie style and her voice is different for me it's not deep, it's low. My favorite from her is "This is the life" the video is below, ENJOY!

Here is a pirate comic I found last month that shivered me timbers...ahahahaha! It's called "The Pirate Balthasar" It has a mixture of snarkiness and romance that keeps your attention.

I don't have many pirate movies I like but here we go; Sinbad the sailor (1947) & Treasure Planet.

ALSO if you want to do a little bit more to show your love of pirates! There is an option on your facebook to change it to pirate slang. Go to the bottom of your facebook and you'll see something like English(US) or English (UK)....what ever language you have it set to click that. a box will pop up and you will see a list of langauges. English has a drop down arrow click that and it should be the third one English (pirate). Your page will be full of pirate slang!

On Sunday I will write a post in the best pirate slang I can muster! Hope you beauts and gents have fun this weekend!

Tune Tuesday

I recently purchased a subscription for a music magazine and it came with a free cd. I got to choose from four different artists and I picked "The Love Language" and I do not regret it. I opened my case to see the small instructions "this record should be played loud...with the windows down." It certainly has an old world whimsy feel to it. They started in Raleigh, NC where they eventually got established and signed! My favorite on the album is number 6 "heart to tell" and my second favorite is "this blood is our own". I mentioned the second one because truthfully I had a hard time picking between them...

ALSO the above link is for their main website but it is very "busy" if you have a slow computer or connection go to their blog HERE.

The song is "Heart to tell"

4 out of 5

Have you ever thought about which of your five senses you would give up if you had to? I for the longest time would answer smell because I felt like that would be the one I could deal with lose better. I think I would probably still give that answer but it's interesting to wonder about it. I love music and the sounds of voices, I love taking pictures and looking at peoples expressions, the taste of foods, giving hugs and holding hands... I guess I chose smell because I've never really liked strong smells whether they were sweet or rank they would get to me.

What would you chose to give up?

September 11, 2010

I suppose some might think I have let it slip my mind what today is. I haven't. But all I want to say about it is I hope those who lost someone dear to them that day have found peace. If you want to know more about the "situation" that is surrounding today go HERE. It should give you a fairly neutral idea about both sides of the feud.

Peace my dears! I hope you are all happy, safe, and have satisfied appetites.

Tune Tuesday

A dear friend of mine gave me a stack of mixes to listen to. One of those was Anais Mitchell's Hadestown. Other artists are on the cd with her to make this unique folk opera, with mythological characters thrown in, more diverse. My favorite song is "Wait for me" which is with Ben Knox Miller and Justin Vernon. The dark jazzy feel is inviting to me and I can't help pressing repeat when I hear it. The song is below hope you enjoy!

Day of Rest

It's Labor Day here in the states! A day to not work but instead relax and party. I am going to have dinner at my mother's and my grandparents will also be there. So Fingers crossed my Acid reflux doesn't act up. It happened to act up when I was with a dear friend and that put a damper on our plans but it was nice just to see her.

Yesterday dad and I were looking around our yard and noticed we need to spruce it up a bit. We cut down two mini trees that were growing over the concrete, saved another tree by ridding it of the vines that were strangling it, and saved the air conditioning unit from the same viney villain. We might work on the yard more today. We have 4 mini trees we need to cut down, get rid of the all the vines, trim up the plants, clean off the concrete, and get rid of the base of where our playhouse used to be.

well i'm off I wish those a happy labor day and if you don't celebrate it I still wish you a grand day!

Old Wives Tale

My step dad and mom recently bought a book that lists thousands of tips and tricks to help with cleaning, cooking, and make up in an alternative fashion. One said in you have a marker stain on your leather rub milk on it. I haven't the foggiest if that's true, i'm not about to mark the leather just to find out. But one we read was about cleaning a chandelier without having to take it down. Just simple have someone stand below it holding an umbrella upside down it will catch all the drippings from your cloth. Its a good idea but I couldn't help think of the superstition of not opening an umbrella indoors. I guess I started to wonder how superstitious people are in modern times or if the kids today even know of them. I don't really follow those like a black cat or glass breaking. I'm more of if a picture frame of a loved one fell over I would be worried and start calling to see if they were okay.

If you would like to see a list of superstitions go HERE

aw crap that's the break..

Tonight I got to drive a 2010 camaro SS and let me just say that I am not graceful when it comes to manual cars. I LOVE an automatic more than you will ever know. After a very short time I stopped the car and relinquished the drivers seat for the more comfortable passenger's seat! And then they gunned it and I hit my head on the head rest....fun times!

Also I would like to rage about something real quick.. there is a drug commercial that shows parents trying to talk to their kids about not doing drugs. The "dad" stands up and is about to go into how he would tell his child when the kid interrupts him to say the following "your child sees you as a form of income, they tolerate you." I think I almost dropped my tea glass. What a smug asinine thing to say. I'm sure there are some children who feel that way towards their parents but that is not the norm. Or is it? Am I wrong? I love my parents and although they are authority figures in my life they are my friends as well. What do you think?

Tune Tuesday

Warpaint is a cali-band that started around 2004. They sound like an ethereal day dream with neon lights thrown in. I want to just twirl around and let my hair sway when I hear their music. My current favorite is “Elephants” and you can watch it below!

Suggestion Box

I had a lovely person make a suggestion to me very recently. They wanted to be able to look at my Tune Tuesdays without having to continuously click back through my old posts. I did used to have a page where I listed the bands but when I did the make over I got rid of all the pages. So I will be doing something about this soon. I probably will do a tag related section but we will see.

P.s. If any of you dears want to ask me something, see more of something, or would like to see something specific just email me at greenlime95 at aol dot com!
