Do you remember??

Long ago ...in 1998 a movie came out called the Borrowers! Cute European movie about 4 inch high people who borrow a lot! Well what I want to know is what happened to the boy on the far right. In the movie he played Spud Spiller, but his real name is Raymond Pickard. I tried to find out what other things he has been in since that movie, but I couldn't find any. He might be playing in a European doctor series, but i'm not sure. I wonder what happened to him?

??Kitty and Bunny Love??

I have been following "There she is!" since it first came out about five years ago and it recently finished with the final "step 5" Imagine.

It is a very cute and heart warming story line. To be blunt, there are bunnies and Kitties and they are not supposed to inter-date with the other. But Doki(Bunny) and Nabi(kitty) are desperately trying to love in a word full of hate.

A little glass vial?

This movie is definitely not for everyone but it has made my top loved movies. The best way to describe it as saw meets phantom of the opera. There is a lot of blood but that definitely is not the main idea. It takes place in the year 2056. An epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Out of the tragedy, a savior emerges: GeneCo, a biotech company that offers organ transplants, for a price. Those who miss their payments are scheduled for repossession and hunted by villainous Repo Men. In a world where surgery addicts are hooked on painkilling drugs and murder is sanctioned by law, a sheltered young girl searches for the cure to her own rare disease as well as information about her family's mysterious history. After being sucked into the haunting world of GeneCo, she is unable to turn back, as all of her questions will be answered at the wildly anticipated spectacular event: The Genetic Opera. Yes, yes I know Paris hilton is in it. She's a sucky actress and a pretty sucky person in general. So if you dislike her as much as i do, you'll love to know that her face falls off in the movie, mahahaha!! Okay, got a little evil there.

The man in this picture, Terrance Zdunich, not only starred in the movie but did the comic book parts of the movie. Also surprisingly this is his first movie role. I would love to see him cast in more movies. His role is kinda of like the narrator that you get to see.

okay, can't help it! Blind mag is my favorite character!! I won't ruin it by telling you her story but her eyes are the shiz!!

Here are some of the songs in the movie!

Nit-Picking My Day

I decided I was fed up with my constant fatigue since August last year. So I wrote down practically everything I did today. I'm hoping I can find a pattern and or just figure out what's up...

Here we go, I'm going to be honest about this.

Before we start I would like to say I'm not the healthiest human being. I'm 130 pds, 5f 6in and have a roll when I sit down. So there you go.

-I went to sleep at 12:30am
-woke up at 7:45am because of my cat, went back to sleep
-woke up at 8:30am
-Check mail
-take a shower and get ready
-Eat 1 piece of toast, drink 1 mug of water, take medication
-Go to post office and mail a package
-Drive an hour to class (interstate)
-Arrive 10 minutes before class starts
-We got out of class early so I ended up sitting in the hallway waiting 25 minutes for next class
-Next class went over 5 minutes
-Drive an hour back home (Back road)
-spent 3+ hours on homework (2-5:30pm)
-Ate 2 personal sized bags of chips and take a glass of sweet tea while doing homework
-Watched about 45 minutes worth of CSI
-Started to feel not to well, tired & heavy head
-Cooked dinner and ate around 7pm, Pasta and meat sauce, 1 slice of bread, glass of tea
-Went to see the boyfriend, watched trailers and funny videos, went to wal-mart
-Bought bright colored clips and nail polish because I had a "I want to be a girly girl moment"
-Tried and Failed to paint my nails... I've failed as a woman.

...I've only painted my finger nails once in my life and my toe nails maybe twice that. I sometimes get these moods where I want to try and be girly... and I usually fail at it which only makes me feel worse. I ended up removing it and feeling very deflated. The clips look good though but I bought them because my hair cut didn't go right and I need to have it fix. So not feeling real high on the totem girl poll right now. blah...

Found the picture at TeamSugar

So far I would say that my sleep pattern sucks
My food intake sucks
And my own personal self esteem sucks

Feeling Tired???

Since August of last year I have had a severe case of fatigue and well over all tiredness. I haven't been sleeping well and wake up tired.

I decided to do some research...

Some causes of fatigue are

Anemia: which can happen when a woman has a very heavy period. The loss of blood leads to a deficiency of hemoglobin, a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen from your lungs to other parts of your body. When your tissues and organs don't get enough oxygen you start to feel fatigue. You can go to a doctor and get a blood test to find out.

Under Active Thyroid: It's a butterfly shaped gland that sits at the back of your neck and helps control your metabolism. When it's working slow...so do you. Again blood test is needed to find out.

Caffeine OVERLOAD: which most of us all know to be too much coffee, tea, or coke drinks. Most people grab one for energy because of the sugars but in some women it can have the opposite effect and you become fatigued.

Things that can help...

Eating breakfast: I eat breakfast almost every day and it doesn't really help. I think what they mean is eating a productive breakfast with cereal and fruit instead of an egg-bacon-buttermilk biscuit.

Stay hydrated: My psychology teacher was talking about this one. Apparently research was done and concluded that almost every adult suffers from acute dehydration. I tried drinking 8 glasses and it just made me have to use the bathroom more than normal. 8 glasses is also just an average, the more you do the more water you need.

No caffeine after noon: I'm not really aware of how much caffeine I intake.

Dress nicer: Seriously?? Apparently dressing nicer, leaving the sweats and tees in the closet, will make you feel better. I'll try when I have more time to actually spend with getting ready.

Some others are....

Venting your feelings, Listening to music, belly breathing (which is long breaths instead of short chest breaths), and de cluttering your space.

I'm going to Monday make a list of my activities, how I dress, and what I eat/drink. See if I can fix this problem.

Movies and Music

The story begins at a bar with an old friend telling director Ari about a recurring nightmare where he is being chased by 26 ravenous dogs. The friend asks Ari if he has any dreams from the war but Ari can not remember that period of his life at all. The two men conclude that there's a connection to their Israeli Army mission in the first Lebanon War of the early eighties. Intrigued by this riddle, he decides to meet and interview old friends and comrades around the world. He needed to discover the truth about that time in his life. As Ari delves deeper into the mystery, his memory shoot back up in surreal images. Majority of the voices are the actual person. All his friends did their own voices for the movie including Ari himself. This is a true story that the director Ari wanted to make. Even though it is based on himself you will experience other war stories from his friends. This is an Israeli film and not in English, but there are subtitles.

You can listen to one of the songs they play during the movie. It's called "This is not a love song" by PIL

I really enjoyed this movie but I will say that it's not for a young audience. There are graphic parts and nudity.

you can buy them here and they're only $14.00, why haven't I got one yet. Well it's simple, I is broke! :p

My favorite is Silly Billy, the one in the picture. There are three to chose from but Soul(green one) is selling out fast and once they're gone, they won't be making any more. Must come up with $14...gah!!

Some other things I found this week.....

The days of the week were based off old gods. You can check out the list here...

Sunday: sun's day,
Monday: moon's day
Tuesday: Tiw's day (Tiw was a war god)
Wednesday: Woden's day (Chief Norse god)
Thursday: Thor's day (Thundergod)
Friday: Frigga's day (Chief Norse Goddess)
Saturday: Saturn's day (God of Time)

Etsy Finds....

This shop, GILDBookbinders, makes the coolest old English looking books. I set the link to go to my favorite book but you can look at more of their works on the page.

PeppermintDaydreams, she makes awesome sketches and cards. Again the link is set to my favorite of them but you can navigate from there.

And last but not least, no certainly not least...I plan on getting hitched in a few years. So I can't say I haven't been looking at things for it. I came across this ring made by Jordanesque on etsy. I absolutely love that ring, it looks like bark, but sadly it is not my size. For I have very small hands you see. I wear a 5 and this is a 7 1/2.....woo is me. I will find another, or force the ringmaker to make a second in my size. I guess we'll see in a few years ;)

Fear is the appropriate response...

I am a movie lover! If it's strange or weird I probably like it! Tim Burton is producing a new movie, 9, and I can't wait to see it! It's based on a short film made by the director Shane Acker. Funny enough it comes out 9/09/2009. You can check out the trailer for it here

The story takes place in a world pretty similar to our own, in which the very existence of humanity is threatened. A group of rag dolls, living a post-apocalyptic existence find one of their own, 9, who displays leadership qualities that may help them to survive. I'm not sure but it seems from the trailer that 9 was made by a scientist.

You can't have a good movie with out good music! 9 is featuring as it's main song Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria. If you play Rock Band then you'll know the song. I really enjoy the band, and you can listen to the song here

I can't wait for it to come out, If you enjoyed other movies by Tim Burton, like Shane Acker's work, or just enjoy seeing rag dolls fighting for peace this is the movie to see!
